X: eXcuses
Yesterday was my baby’s birthday, and I didn’t write about her. I’m full of excuses – let me share them:
- I work from home, and when I normally get nap-time work I didn’t because Flash decided to be sick and was home from preschool. I worked as best as I could with him leaning on my arm, but I didn’t get to the blog because — well — 3 year olds.
- Math Man had wrestling practice and didn’t get home in enough time for us to do much of a birthday celebration or give her gifts before I had to leave with the Animal for soccer practice.
- The Animal had soccer practice, and it was my only chance to really see him play before the “season” was over since I’m usually home with Baby Diva who needs to go to sleep or take a nap.
- By the time we got home from soccer, we had about 10 minutes before Baby Diva needed to go to sleep for the night. We hurried to give her one present (because she’s totally aware it was her birthday, right?) and then I took her upstairs to sleep.
- I had a meeting about fifteen minutes later. This meeting lasted about an hour.
- After my meeting, it was time to put Flash to bed (way later than he should have been but come on).
- Once Flash was in bed, I needed to have Free Zone with Sassy Pants.
- And then it was time to do some grading, make sure my course was set, and finish up other essential items.
I just never got to a blog post yesterday.
And that’s why THIS post is posting on the “wrong” day but in the morning. I’ll be back with Y tonight.
