How I Use Oxyzen (and a giveaway!)
One of the first Simply Aroma blends that I fell in love with was Oxyzen. It’s a “respiratory blend” meant to help with opening airways and improving breathing. As more and more people have tried Oxyzen, they have found that it helps relieve some symptoms of allergies and asthma.
When we get the sniffles in our house — especially Aaron, Miss Sassy Pants, and me — we use Oxyzen.
Diffusing it is the simplest way to use it. I put about 3 drops into my Simply Aroma diffuser and turn it on. Because Oxyzen is a blend of peppermint, tea tree, bay laurel, eucalyptus, lemon, and ravensara, it has an amazing smell. It only takes about 20 minutes for the benefits of Oxyzen to kick in. Another suggestion is to use the diffuser with Oxyzen while sleeping to help with snoring or just opening the nasal passages.
If you don’t have a diffuser, you can use steam inhalation. I’ve used steam inhalation with other oils, as well. Heat up a mug of water until it’s steaming hot. Drop in about 3 drops of Oxyzen and, you guessed it, inhale! It’s amazing how quickly you can feel your nasal passages open. The tea tree and lemon in the blend are great for attacking bacteria.
To use Oxyzen topically, I have put a drop or 2 in about a teaspoon of fractionated coconut oil or Immerse (Simply Aroma’s carrier oil blend). Then, I apply it to the chest and bottoms of the feet. It’s sort of like using the chest rubs you can buy at the store, but I’m not worried about the petrochemicals!
Because Oxyzen is one of my favorites, I want to share. I have been with Simply Aroma for a year now (happy anniversary to me!), and I’m celebrating. One of my readers will receive a 10 mL bottle of Oxyzen. Be sure to enter using the form below.
And if you’re interested in the Simply Aroma opportunity, now is the time! If you join as a consultant by January 6, 2015, you’ll earn the title of Architect Consultant. My favourite essential oil is probably pink grapefruit. I love all the citruses and the evergreen oils (pine needles, fir, balsam fir, spruce…)
Love your blog and your FB page – you are the best! .
I have a grapefruit that I love the smell of, but I really like the cleaning and antibacterial benefits from the Tea Tree. Even if it does drive my cat bonkers!
It’s a toss up between tea tree oil and orange oil.
They are both amazing and have such great antiseptic qualities and uses!
I am a lavender girl!
There are so many essential oils it’s hard to pick just one. My 3 favorites are Tea Tree, Lavender, and Peppermint. After this last delivery though I think I may say lavender as I used that diluted in water and applied to my abdomen to help ease the contractions. Definitely helped my labor progress while I mostly relaxed and assisted me to avoid an epidural.
I’m going to try oils after this next delivery. I’m loving hearing this testimonial, though!
Peppermint is my favorite oil with purpose (those sore muscles), but my favorite scent and one I use the most is grapefruit.
Agree with peppermint for its awesome usage. I haven’t had much interaction with grapefruit. Hoping to soon!
I love lavender, it has so many uses 😉
for my kids it would be lavender
Lavender is amazing for so many reasons!!
