The Joy of Fall (A Poem)

The Joy of Fall (A Poem)

Every season, I think to myself: this is my favorite season. But it really always comes back to one: fall. There’s just something about the leaves and the crisp air and fall gatherings that remind me of the joy of fall and why it’s truly my absolute favorite. My kids and husband love fall, too, so of course I had to participate in a poetry linkup to consider why and how I love fall so much.

The Joy of Fall

Football and jackets
Another weekend of indoor chores
Leaving time for naps and
Loving on my babies.

Full of excitement
A spooky night of candy and treats
Lots of parties and festivals
Leaf piles all raked and perfect for jumping.

Favorite season, hands down.
Anticipation for the next holiday
Love and light
Laughter and joy.

Did you see the pattern? What’s your favorite part of fall?
