Kari Jobe’s The Garden (Review & Giveaway)
In the last few months, I’ve really begun to enjoy praise and worship music. I’ve long been interested in Christian music. That started when I was in middle school and had a kickin’ youth group and youth leader who loved music. He introduced us to non-traditional worship groups that pushed the boundaries of “typical” Christian music.
As I’ve grown older, though, I find that in addition to wanting the rockin’ and rollin’ type of music to get my brain and heart pumping, I search for introspective and reflective music that causes me to stop, consider the words, and really praise.
I recently had the chance to listen to Kari Jobe’s new disc, The Garden. I have to say, Jobe fits the bill of reflective and introspective that I have been wanting to add to my collection.
Reminiscent of Sarah McLachlan’s sound and feel, Kari Jobe’s music is perfect for worship and praise. Jobe’s voice is lilting yet fierce. I can hear the praise and adoration in all that she sings.
I have the CD in my car so that I can listen when alone for silent reflection. But I’m also enjoying shareing with my kids on our way to school. Baby Diva seems to especially enjoy the beautiful songs.
