The End is Here
Four kids. Four kids and people keep asking us if we’re finished. Yes. We’re finished. No, we aren’t having any more. Our family is complete, and we’re happy. A little crazy, but happy. The end is here, and we are blessed beyond measure. These four kiddos keep us hopping, but they make us smile and shake our heads in wonder basically every day.
When my blogging friends chose “Endings” as the topic for December’s poetry theme, I wasn’t sure where I was going to go with my poem. Silly? Serious? Reflective? What I did know is there is a lot of discussion in this house about the END of things.
Let’s see what happened:
The End is Here
El Fin
Finito
Done-o
This is it.
No more kids.
No more diapers.
Praise the Lord.
Seems anti-love
Anti-parent
Anti-happiness
But I’m ready to move on.
Enter the new season of
Watching them grow.
The end is here.
Amen.
Be sure to read the poems from my blogging friends using theme, “Endings.”

LOL as an empty nester, I feel ya girl! I love my children aka adults and sometimes I miss the craziness but I am also enjoying our friendship now as adults and I adore my grandchildren.
Hooray! No more diapers! No more midnight feedings!
This made me giggle! Love it!
Raising a glass to this new era. You’ve earned it!
I still love holding little babies . . . then passing them back to their mamas. You have a beautiful family, time to just enjoy them.
