PRAISE
Psalm 106:1
Praise the Lord! Oh give thanks to the Lord, for he is good, for his steadfast love endures forever!
I am a pretty positive person. Even in the midst of turmoil, I tend to find ways to laugh or make jokes or find happiness in little things. These days, I have been blessed enough to not have many of those tumultuous events happening. The “worst” thing I’m dealing with now is having to wake up at 3 am to nurse a hungry baby. And if that’s the worst thing I have, then I’d say I’m in pretty good shape.
I wanted to count some of my blessings and my reasons to praise:
* I’m alive and well.
* I have a beautiful family – both my immediate (husband, 2 kids) and my extended.
* I have a house, food, clothing.
* This year, I’ve been able to begin staying at home to be with our newborn and to be available for our 1st grader when she gets off the bus.
* I have really awesome friends.
* I’m VERY close to my pre-pregnancy weight, and he’s only 5 months old!
* My husband loves me unconditionally.
* I have begun to find a rhythm to my days – cleaning, working, playing, napping! 🙂
These are only a few of my praises and celebrations. I am living the abundant life, and I know to whom I should give the glory.
And in the words of the Doxology: Praise God from whom all blessings flow.
