P: Planning to Fruition #AtoZChallenge
For the past 16+ years, I’ve taught people how to write and how to be better at grammar, research, analysis, and reading. I started blogging (officially) in 2010, and folks have often asked me for advice or tips along the way. Since starting, I’ve also become Social Media Marketing certified and learned tons about how to effectively use social media with blogging.
A few years ago, when I was helping a fellow blogger with some questions she had, it dawned on me that my training to become an English teacher could actually mean that I could offer some online courses for folks who had long since graduated from high school and even college but who needed or simply wanted a refresher course. My thought was that these folks would be bloggers looking to “up their game” in an effort to improve their blogging content or grow their audience.
I kicked the idea around with a few friends who said they’d love to have a course like that, but I just never could find time to make it happen.
In the last three weeks, I’ve done more to create this course than I thought I could. It’s happening. And I’m so pumped.
Right now, I’m still in the planning stages, but I can see it coming together. I’m growing a small community of folks who want to improve their writing and their social media knowledge. They are teaching me so much already about how and what I need to provide to my potential students.
