Northbooks Notebook (Review)

If you know me, you know that I’m a list maker. I have lists all over the place as well as calendars. I adore office supplies and probably have more fun than the kids going shopping for back to school so I can find a reason to buy myself a new package of pens.

Now that I’m working with essential oils on a regular basis, I’ve been getting tons of ideas for recipes and usages of those oils. What I’m finding is that my ideas are ending up on all of those lists, calendars, sticky notes, etc. I have books with earmarked pages. I have notes on this pad or that pad. Nothing is really organized.

When I received my 5×8 Northbooks notebook, I really paused to think about how I could best use it. Should it just be another spot for lists? I wanted to give it a real purpose.

Then it hit me. Because of its very awesome size (not too big, not too little), it’s the perfect size for me to carry to vendor events and oil demos while giving me plenty of space to work with.

I decided to set it up like the daybooks I have had my face-to-face students use. First, I leave a few pages for a table of contents (see the organizational opportunity there!?) and then I number every other page – just the odd pages – to keep myself from going bananas.

Now, as I enter my information, I will have a page number to reference. If someone asks me for a good deodorant recipe, I can check my table of contents and flip right to it! Here’s how I started it!

Northbooks notebooks are made in the USA right in Brooklyn, NY.

The flexible and durable soft cover is made of 30% post consumer kraft paper and is in a neutral color – it’ll match any decor!

This 5×8 notebook has 96 pages that are college-ruled and acid free.

I received this item in exchange for a review. The opinions are 100% mine.
