Mamavation Monday: Week 21!
This has been another interesting week. Christmas and other holiday events are in full swing, my husband and daughter are counting down school days, I’m working my tail off to get some final projects completed before the break, and the Animal is now addicted to drawing. Oh, and Flash is finally kicking so Daddy can feel and see. Cool stuff.
Last week, I wouldn’t say I was very successful in the “healthy” department. I’d made an awesome cake (recipe courtesy of my friend, Ashley C.) for our church Christmas luncheon, and there were leftovers. I ate them. Yikes.
I did make some smart moves. Mom and I had lunch one day, and I chose soup and salad over a burger and fries. At least two days of the week, I made myself a grilled chicken salad here at home.
Otherwise, I haven’t been perfect. But, no one is perfect. So, instead of getting down about the minor setbacks, I’m just working on making good choices this week.
We’ve arrived at week 21 in the pregnancy. I’m feeling really good despite some minor back pain and a few hormonal temper moments. Flash is growing and thriving and kicking and squirming. All good stuff.
It’s Mamavation Monday again, so I encourage all of my readers to consider joining Mamavation. If you’re looking for support with your health goals, Mamavation is a fabulous place to find it.
