Mamavation Monday: Fall is in the Air!
Happy Monday! It’s chilly here in NC, and I’m loving it. Sweatpants, long-sleeved shirts, snuggly blankets. Ahhhh, I love fall.
One thing I do miss, though, is Homecoming Spirit Week at the high school. My silly nature thrives on finding ways to be goofy, and I always loved the opportunity to not only dress in some sort of costume but to also be comfortable for an entire 5 days of teaching. (Luckily, with this new job, I’m comfortable every day!) Here are some of my very favorite Spirit Week moments from years past.
This coming Saturday, Aaron and I will be going to the NASCAR Bank of America 500. I’m going for the tailgaiting. He’s going for the entire experience. It’ll be one of the very few times we’ll be alone for longer than a couple of hours, and I’m really excited to just hang out and enjoy our time!
This week, I’ve done the following well:
1. Holding on to my “no soda” rule – and I even resisted when Aaron said, “Wouldn’t Root Beer be ok?”
2. I finished my wedding scrapbook (4.5 years later) and started on Miss Sassy Pants’s post-first-year book.
3. I took naps! I really did!
I’m thankful for these things this week:
1. Naps and a 7 year old who understands, “Mommy needs a nap. Enjoy some TV time.”
2. Yard sales with good finds! We found this for the Animal:
3. Good, quality family time. The four of us really enjoyed just being together and being lazy. I love my little family!
This week on Mamavation TV, we’re learning about Menopause. Before you say, “Eh, I’m too young to worry about that!” know that you aren’t. Menopause can happen even in our 30s. Join us tonight: MAMAVATION TV: Join us Monday night at 7pm PST/10pm EST on Mingle Media TV
