Mamavation Monday: Craving Water!

Mamavation Monday: Craving Water!

It’s Monday again which means it’s time for my weekly Mamavation Monday post. If you’re just joining Cluttered Genius and reading my posts, Mamavation is a group I’m part of (actually, it’s a Sistahood I’m part of) that focuses on healthy families and obesity prevention. I pledged to be a Sista right before summer of 2012, and I feel so blessed to call these women my Sistas. Each Monday, we update each other and our readers about the successes (and sometimes downfalls) of our week.

This week went pretty well for me. Aaron and I did make it through a drive-thru, but I only got sandwiches. No fries. No soda. In just a couple of weeks, I will be 6 months soda-free! Wow! That’s, like, half a year.

I have also been craving water. I find this a really strange phenomenon as I usually deplore plain water. Maybe since switching away from sodas and only drinking water, juice, or milk, I’ve retrained my brain and taste buds. I’m so freakishly proud of myself!

This week also marks the beginning of our 25th week of pregnancy. Flash has become more and more active and more and more noticeable! I can watch him dance around in there by just watching my belly – and I love it. Today, we have another doctor’s check-up, and next Monday, we’ll go for our fetal echo to double check his heart since he has the Single Umbilical Artery and seems to think it’s funny to freak us out.

What have been your successes this week? I want to hear about them! It’s a new year with so many wonderful opportunities. All we have to do is TAKE them!

Have a great week!
