Mamavation Monday: Apparently, working out makes me hot!

When your husband says, “You working out is hot,” it kind of puts a fire (pun intended) under your feet to keep doing it.

I always say that Aaron speaks in “Aaronisms.” He has a way of saying really nice things to me no matter how bad the situation might be. Like, I might tell him that I lost his absolute favorite CD or something, and he’d respond with, “That’s ok. It’ll give me more time to focus on you.” I’m not lying. This is how lucky I am to have this man in my life.

All of that to say that when Mr. Not-So-Mushy-Gushy comes out and tells me that listening to me huff and puff while doing my 3 sets of Burpees (thanks @bookieboo & @mrbookieboo!) is totally sexy, I’m more than willing to keep doing it.

Plus, it’s healthy for me. I started Week 2 of the #2weekchallenge today. I was impressed with myself last week for completing all of it and doing a pretty good job to boot. I laughed about not being able to really move after day 2 (lots of leg work and arm work), but it felt good to be in that pain. It meant I worked muscles that I haven’t worked in a long time!

Miss Sassy Pants was back in the coaching position today after a week away, and it was beyond awesome when she decided to just go ahead and join me in the lunges, calf raises, bird dogs, and burpees. And, again, she was better than I was. Then, we stretched together, and she showed off her ability to kiss her knee — I used to be able to do that!

My report for Week 1 of the #2WeekChallenge:

* I didn’t lose any weight. I didn’t gain any either.

* I finished every single day of the workout routine!

* I ate better because I was paying attention. That doesn’t mean I was perfect, but I was better.

Goals for this next week:

* I really want to at least lose 1 pound! I’ll be ok if I don’t, but I feel like after al this work, at least ONE pound should come off!

* Complete the 2nd week with as much success as the first week!

* Eat even better than I did last week!
