Mamavation Monday: Accentuate the Positive

It’s another Monday, and yet another week gone by. School started for Miss Sassy Pants and Aaron, so the last week was nutso busy. I realized yesterday that I never posted a second blog post all week — oops!

checklistI’m also still learning from Pete Cohen about how to be healthier and control some of my cravings for the things that make me less healthy. The one thing that’s really sticking out from everything Pete is teaching me is that I need to be positive. For instance, one suggestion he has is to make daily goals for myself and be positive about trying to achieve them. Today’s goal will be to resist eating too much. It’s Labor Day, family is coming over, and I tend to overeat. So, today’s goal is to be as smart as I can about the amount of food that I choose to eat.

I want to say congratulations to the two new Mamavation Moms, @rachhabs and @madhattermom. I’m so excited to watch their journey as they set their own positive goals and are an inspiration to the rest of our Sistahood.

@bookieboo is going to ask the Mamavation Moms to think positively as well. She’s going to ask them to name 3 things that went well for them over the past week and 3 things for which they’re thankful. In the spirit of the Sistahood, I’m going to play along:

Three things that went well this past week:

1. School got started and Miss Sassy Pants had a great time.

2. I had NO soda all week!

3. The Animal and I settled right into our routine without sister and Daddy here every day.

Three things about which I’m thankful:

1. My husband is gorgeous. Like, seriously. He’s hot.

2. My kids are precious. I’m so blessed to have them.

3. I have really awesome friends.
