Mamavation Monday #5
This past week, I’ve been frustrated with my progress. Ok, my LACK of progress. I am finding every last excuse in the book to keep myself from doing what I should do, and I’m annoyed with myself.
It’s frustrating to know, in my mind, what I should be doing. I could coach someone all day long on the best ways to be healthy and work on losing weight or toning their body. I have a pretty decent understanding of the best and healthiest strategies. But, for whatever reason, I can’t get myself to listen.
School is out now, so Aaron and Miss Sassy Pants will be home on a regular basis (he still has a few teacher workdays, so not until mid-week). I’m hoping that I can get into a decent schedule or routine while he’s here to lend his two awesome hands.
Ok, ok. Here is my weekly report:
What went well:
- I haven’t had dessert in a few nights. If you know me at all or have read my blog pretty regularly, you know this is a HUGE feat.
- I did the Zumba on the Wii one day (it was raining out & I couldn’t walk). The Animal was pretty entranced and even danced with me a bit.
- I walked every day in one way or another. I may not have been at full speed for some of them, but I did move.
- I had Subway twice this week. Subway itself is fine; it’s the crack cookies they sell that are like sirens and call me to them. I had way too many of those.
- I keep wanting to add in some core work, but it’s just not getting in the schedule.
- The scale hasn’t moved. Well, it may have moved UP, but I know it hasn’t moved DOWN.
- I know I didn’t drink my water.
- Walk every day
- Maybe jog two times this week?
- Add in some core work and some weight training
- Drink my water
- Create some easy and maintainable routines for summer that can carry into the fall
