Mamavation Monday #1

MamavationIt’s my first official Mamavation Monday. I’ve been invited to be a part of the Sistahood, and I’m super excited to become a part of a community focused on healthy living and mommy-ing.

I swore an oath to get healthier, and part of that promise to myself included starting the Mamavation 2 Week Challenge. I did most of the challenge, but there were a few days where I wasn’t successful.

Mondays will become my days to report my results. I’ll start with the positives:

  • In the past two weeks, I’ve made some decent progress. Since then, I have walked every single day — sometimes twice a day — at least 1.5 mile.
  • I have focused on and thought about the choices I was making for food (mostly, for dessert).
  • I have attempted to work on completing my WORK duties so I could focus on my family when they get home from school and work.

And now, things that didn’t go so well:

  • I had gained a few pounds, and they haven’t gone anywhere. I am eleven days from my goal weight date.
  • I still can’t seem to get myself to eat enough. That sounds counterintuitive, but I know that not eating enough can be as disastrous to my health as eating too much.
  • I’m going to bed too late.

This week’s plan:

  • Continue to walk.
  • Eat three balanced meals with decent snacks between.
  • Do some Wii Zumba.

Fingers crossed that I can meet these small goals for myself. I know it’s one step at a time.
