Mamavation Monday: Another pretty successful week
November is here, and I’m celebrating each day by thinking of why I’m thankful.
Here, I’ll share what I’ve posted so far:
It has really been a great week. I stayed (mostly) away from the drive-thru (no fries, though!). I have somehow kept myself from completely gorging on Halloween candy (I’m not saying I’ve restrained, but the amount I’ve had this year compared to previous years is quite amazing). I’ve stayed away from soda!
At this point, I’m almost 4 months soda free. Wow!
Also, on Saturday, Miss Sassy Pants and I participated in the CureSearch Walk. Our friends were honoring the memory of their son, Jacob, who battled neuroblastoma when he was very young. Although Jacob may not be with us on Earth today, he’s with us all the time in spirit. I love thinking about Jacob’s love for balloons, silly string, Transformers, and Power Rangers. He was a strong little dude, and I was blessed to have known him.
His parents and brothers formed a team to raise money for CureSearch which raises money and awareness for childhood cancer research. At this Saturday’s event, our area raised over $95,000. That’s outstanding!
What a great week. Now, we gear up for a 3 day school week, hearing Spawn’s heartbeat on Tuesday, and helping at the elementary school’s fall festival.
What exciting adventures do you have in store this week?
