Lavender: The "Duct Tape" of Oils
I am a Simply Aroma consultant. Any purchase from my links below would benefit me. Thanks!
When I talk to people about oils, it’s quite often that they say, “Where do I start?” or “Which oil do you recommend for someone who knows very little about oils?”
My answer is quick and easy: lavender.
Lavender is one that can be used for so many reasons. In fact, I’ve often heard it dubbed the “duct tape” of oils because of its multitude of uses.
Have a burn? Lavender.
Have a bug bite? Lavender.
Have a cut? Lavender.
Need to relax? You guessed it: lavender.
Look at this graphic of my finger from when I cut it (on the back of a knife — told you I was a genius). I used lavender with Immerse (a carrier oil blend) and in less than 48 hours, the redness and swelling were basically gone and the wound was closing nicely.
Yesterday, I was dealing with obnoxious bug bites on my foot, and I used lavender with Immerse again (sort of like a lotion). Within 5-10 minutes, the itch and redness were literally gone.
