I Tried Desert Essence
It seems like I can never find a shampoo that works well for me. Either it weighs my hair down, or it causes me to break out on my neck and around my hair line. And neither of those issues even mention (but likely are contributed to by) the ingredients of the formula. I had the chance to try Desert Essence and share with my friends, and I will have to say that I liked what I experienced!
My hair is very curly, very thick, and very big. My BFF always suggests that I take night time showers to help me save time the next morning. I’ve explained (and finally showed evidence) that this is not a good idea for me. Any semblance of moisture in my hair will result in a clown-like appearance the next day. It’s so bad that even the kids take a second glance at my ridiculousness! And on a hot summer day, with the humidity in North Carolina, it can be disastrous.
The big hair and fuzziness always has me searching for a shampoo that will help with smoothing and fly-aways. But most of the products I’ve tried leave me unsatisfied and embarrassed in the long run. I’m forced to use hair spray (which I hate).
The Desert Essence products are clean. Using natural and organic ingredients, Desert Essence offers several skin and hair options.
One of the shampoo and conditioner sets that I received was the Desert Essence Anti-Breakage Shampoo and Conditioner. My mother-in-law was specifically a fan of this product because her hair is so thin. She reported that it made her hair have more volume.
Anti-Breakage Shampoo Details:
- Infused with an exclusive blend of Country Life Maxi-Hair® plus Biotin, this breakthrough formula with Keratin and Pro-Vitamin B5 helps reduce breakage up to 61%.
- Rich in nourishing Jojoba and coconut oils, aloe, and saw palmetto, these ingredients smooth and fortify hair cuticles, and revitalize hair strands to minimize breakage.
- The botanical oils and radish seed extract provide incredible shine.
- The aloe and moisturizing shea butter in the Anti-Breakage Conditioner help detangle and condition hair.
I also had the pleasure of trying out the smoothing shampoo. I’m in love! I have extremely oily hair, so I do have to lather twice to get it cleaned the way I like, and I definitely would suggest trying the primer between shampoos. My hair hasn’t been as nutso with the smoothing shampoo as it is with normal shampoos!
