Hip Hop Dance Experience Review
Thank you to Ubisoft for sponsoring this post. Please visit Ubi.com to learn more about Ubisoft. I was selected for this opportunity as a member of Clever Girls Collective. #UbiChamps
Dancing is one of my FAVORITE ways to move. In middle and high school, I learned how to clog and loved it. (Don’t judge. It was cool clogging to things like Whitney Houston and Janet Jackson.) I taught aerobics for a summer in college, and Miss Sassy Pants swears that dancing is her “passion” — I’m certain that this is because of my influence.
When I was chosen to review Ubisoft’s Hip Hop Dance Experience, I was so excited. There is no way that I am the best dancer out there — and goodness knows I’m probably not even “good” on the dancing scale, but I do love it. Since it’s winter and generally disgustingly cold outside, I haven’t been able to get out there and walk like I was doing in the summer and fall. And now that #BabyFlash is on his way, I know I need to move to keep myself healthy and in shape.
I’ve been playing Hip Hop Dance Experience since the day I got it, and I’ve even created a video to share with you! Now, you aren’t allowed to laugh, and yes, I showed off the 6 month pregnancy bump. Keep in mind that I’m wearing socks on a very slippery floor, and I’m dealing with some serious lower back pain. (I am begging you to keep this in mind just in case you think I’m a horrible dancer.)
Why I love Hip Hop Dance Experience:
- It’s challenging. I love that the dance moves are real dance moves. At first, I was completely lost, but practicing the same song/dance over and over not only gives me the exercise I need, but it has become easier. I didn’t say “easy.”
- It’s awesome exercise. If I’m going to move and get sweaty, I’d rather have fun doing it!
- The song choices are pretty great. There are some newer songs, like the one I chose (“Replay” by lyaz). I even tried out some of the songs from my younger years like “Hip Hop Hooray” by Naughty by Nature (which is the Animal’s favorite).
If you don’t already own Hip Hop Dance Experience, you should definitely go and get yourself a copy. You can find it either on Amazon.com or ToysRUs.com.
What song would you most want to dance to?
