Giving Tuesday: Monkey Do Project

Giving Tuesday: Monkey Do Project

After the hustle and bustle of Thanksgiving, Black Friday and Cyber Monday, it’s time for Giving Tuesday. I love this idea as it’s an opportunity for everyone to help a group or person in need.

One of my passions and goals is to help people on our own US soil. I’m all about mission work and helping the less fortunate in other necks of the world – especially to spread His love and joy – but sometimes I feel like as a whole, we forget about those right next to us who really need the help.

I’ve written about the Monkey Do Project before. Helping families in the US Appalachians (the most impoverished area of our country), the Monkey Do Project provides funding and support for food banks that are otherwise struggling.

In many areas of the poverty-stricken Appalachians, 1 in 4 children don’t have enough food to eat today. With your help this holiday season (and any time of year, really), the MonkeyDo Project can provide meals for families who may not otherwise be able to afford them.

This year, consider giving a gift to the MonkeyDo Project in honor of one of your friends or family members who already has everything. You know who they are. And when you do give to the #Holidays4Hunger fund, you’ll receive a printable gift certificate to give as your present.

I’m giving gift of food to hungry families w/ #monkeydo + #Holidays4Hunger. You can too! #hunger
