Blessings: Friends and Family (Day 40+)

Blessings: Friends and Family (Day 40+)

Verse to ponder: Two people are better off than one, for they can help each other succeed. If one person falls, the other can reach out and help. But someone who falls alone is in real trouble. Likewise, two people lying close together can keep each other warm. But how can one be warm alone? A person standing alone can be attacked and defeated, but two can stand back-to-back and conquer. Three are even better, for a triple-braided cord is not easily broken. (NLT) Ecclesiastes 4:9-12

Yes, I realize it’s quite a few days since Easter occurred. I wrote what I thought was a fabulous Good Friday post only to discover, when I went to share it, that my website had been hacked. I was not only a little freaked out — there was quite the ominous-looking image on my blog — but I was really angry. My blog isn’t that exciting. Why hack into my site and take advantage of me?

I immediately reached out to those that I knew would know something about how to fix the problem. And lo and behold, they came through. My site was returned to its normal state, and it was even improved by way of security measures. (I must say mucho thanks to Joanna from Just Joanna who waved her magic wand and chastised me a tad explained to me what mistakes I had made.)

Over the last few years of being home with babies, I’ve made friendships with people I’ve never even met in real life. And these people have become more than just friends to me — they’ve become family. I’m amazed on a regular basis about how God puts events and people right in our paths so we have the networks we need right when we need them.

My involvement with Simply Aroma is one of those such examples. When I trace back how I got to this point – as a team leader – with my essential oils business, it’s wonderful to see who I met along the way who is still part of that process and who is still supporting me. And if I hadn’t allowed God to guide me — if I had attempted to control the way I’m known to do — I most likely wouldn’t be where I am right now.

I’m beyond blessed by the people I’ve met and the friendships I’ve made. I truly think they keep me sane as I’m covered with children and getting very little “me” time. I’ll have time for that “me” time later.
