Blessings Devotionals

Last year for Lent, I wrote (almost) daily about the many blessings in my life. I was doing my best to forget about the negative that kept creeping into my brain and focus on the good things even if they seemed trivial. I found a verse for most posts that helped me to focus on scripture.

This year, I thought I’d gather them all in one post in case someone wanted to use them as a guide (gee, thanks!) for devotionals.

Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another’s feet. I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you. Very truly I tell you, no servant is greater than his master, nor is a messenger greater than the one who sent him. Now that you know these things, you will be blessed if you do them. (John 13: 12-17)

Day 19: Language Acquisition (Verse: Behold, children are a heritage from the LORD, the fruit of the womb a reward. Like arrows in the hand of a warrior are the children of one’s youth. But someone who falls alone is in real trouble. Likewise, two people lying close together can keep each other warm. But how can one be warm alone? A person standing alone can be attacked and defeated, but two can stand back-to-back and conquer. Three are even better, for a triple-braided cord is not easily broken. (NLT) Ecclesiastes 4:9-12)

I recognize that there are some major gaps in numbered days (oops) and that I used Matthew 11:28 numerous times. It’s a great verse.

May you find something in these posts to connect with or to bring you closer to Him.
