The Biggest Story DVD & CD (Giveaway)
Not too long ago, we received The Biggest Story — an animated representation of the Bible — and it quickly became a favorite of our kindergartner (the Animal). He loves the pictures and the stories. He asks questions and opens conversations with us about the age-old Bible stories that we learned in Sunday School. The colors and shapes catch his attention.
What’s cool about this particular representation of the Bible is the use of the “snake crusher” description. The story opens, as expected, with Adam and Eve who are tempted by the snake. Throughout the rest of the story, the theme of humans making bad decisions and trying to live without God runs through the stories and explanations. The Tower of Babel, the story of Noah, David and Goliath, Joseph and his brothers and more set the stage for the arrival of Jesus.
So when we received the DVD version of The Biggest Story, it didn’t surprise me that the Animal would jump at the chance to watch. Because the illustrations had been adapted for video, he was amazed that “things are moving!” He said, “This is like a real story!”
The narrator keeps your attention along with the music and graphics. The Animal loved that the same pictures appeared in both the book and the video versions. (He loves the river of blood for some reason!)
Additionally, The Biggest Story is available as a book on CD. Narrated by the author with the same engaging music, the Animal has enjoyed listening while riding in the van to church or on various errands.
The Animated Short Film: Featuring beautifully animated illustrations adapted from the book, The Biggest Story: The Animated Short Film will captivate children and parents alike as they see how all the classic stories in the Bible connect to Scripture’s overarching message about God’s glorious plan to redeem his rebellious people.
The Audio Book: This audio book of The Biggest Story—written and narrated also by the best-selling author Kevin DeYoung—leads kids and parents alike on an exciting journey through the Bible, connecting the dots from the garden of Eden to Christ’s death on the cross to the new heaven and new earth.
Kevin DeYoung is senior pastor of University Reformed Church in East Lansing, MI, husband to Trisha, and father to seven children.

I love the story of Noah’s Ark. It gives hope when it seems you alone have to stand for what you believe in.
