A is for Awesome
There are so many things going so well in my house right now that I thought A is for Awesome was the best way to kick off the Blogging from A to Z April Challenge!
Let me just share what is going so well:
The Animal is pretty much potty trained. I didn’t think it would ever happen. I guess that’s a similar feeling to the idea that your baby will never sleep through the night, or you’ll never have two seconds of alone-time ever again. It’s here! It’s here! He takes himself without having to be reminded, and I’m so stinking proud.
Flash is walking all over the place and generally stays a very happy baby. He has been working on four molars — one of which I think is finally in. He’ll be a year in just under a month, and he’s adorably sweet.
Miss Sassy Pants just won second place in her school’s Reading Fair in the 2nd & 3rd grade division. I’m really very proud of her as, other than editing one piece that she wrote for the board, I literally didn’t help her beyond printing things she’d typed. She’s super pumped and feeling very confident about the work she did. She’d been doubting whether her board was “good enough,” so I’m so excited that she feels this success!
Aaron and I are celebrating 5 years of marriage this weekend. It feels like a lot longer but not in that holy-moly-we’ve-been-married-forever sort of way. Even though we’ve really only known each other for six years, we have so much fun together that it seems we’ve known each other all our lives. He’s the perfect fit for me. (Don’t worry. I’ll have a gooshy anniversary post later in the week. You’re welcome.)
Tell me what has been awesome for you. I want to hear!

Time with kids does go quickly! Congratulations on the first five years!
Thanks so much. You’re right. They grow too quickly, and then suddenly they aren’t babies anymore!
Happy anniversary then!
And welcome to the A to Z Challenge.
Thank you and happy to be playing along!
Sounds awesome indeed! Congratulations on getting just a little bit more “hands-free” time!
