My girl
Tonight, as I told my daughter goodnight, she hugged me tightly around the neck and whispered, “I love you mom; you’re the best.” I replied by telling her SHE was the best. She snuggled even closer and said, “You’re just so pretty mom.”
Talk about melting my heart. In these days when I feel like I can’t get my head on straight or that I can’t find a moment to myself, my daughter makes the entire world pause so that she can make my heart melt. And that’s when I find myself thinking that the next time she asks me to watch her dance or to play Crazy Eights, my answer really needs to be YES. Because, really, she IS the best.
