Mamavation Monday: On Wednesday
Ok, ok, so it’s Wednesday. It’s hard to get things posted on a Monday when you’re out galavanting around town with your best friend from the 7th grade. Yeah. I said galavanting. No one says that anymore? Nice to meet you.
I’m in a goofy mood as I’m exhausted from our crazy, late partying all weekend. I mean, two moms hanging out sans children for the first time in some years will cause you to stay up way too late and eat too many chocolate chip cookies. We talked blogging. We talked photography. We talked babies and husbands and crafts. It was a raucous time, I tell you.
In all seriousness, I had an awesome weekend and was lucky to witness the wedding of our mutual friend on Sunday night. The bride was to-die-for beautiful, and the ceremony and reception were just perfect. I’m so happy for you, A, and I wish you all the best in the world.
I don’t have much to report by way of being healthy except that:
1. I chose soup and salad at lunch on Saturday. I could have had fries. I didn’t.
2. I chose water or lemonade all weekend instead of soda. We’re going on two months without the stuff, friends.
3. I did have some chocolate chip cookies throughout the weekend, but that was mostly the extent of my “bad eating.”
So, three things for which I’m thankful:
1. Erin. She’s been my friend since we were 12, and I love her. She’s one of those friends I can go for years without seeing face-to-face and then reconnect like it’s only been a day.
2. The opportunity to visit friends and be on my own again.
3. My family who was here with happy faces and open arms when I got back!
Have a happy week, everyone!
