Mamavation Monday: End of #2WeekChallenge
I made it through the #2WeekChallenge. The first week, I felt every single muscle I had as I hadn’t used them that way for quite some time. For a few days, even laughing hurt. I stuck with it, though, and within a few workouts, I wasn’t hurting anymore.
Yesterday marked the “end” of the #2WeekChallenge, but Aaron issued a challenge of his own: to go for an entire month. I like a good competition (even if it’s just with myself), so I’m extending this for 2 more weeks. Aaron is going to help me make the workouts more “me,” and I’m going to be better about eating.
Confession: On Friday, I ate 2 pieces of cake, 2 servings of ice cream, and I had 2 cans of Pepsi. I was sick to my stomach as we went to bed, and I tried my best to blame Aaron (he wasn’t taking the bait). This, however, prompted what I’ve been needing: a reality check.
In the last 2 weeks, I’ve worked out more than in a long time. And I’ve lost NO WEIGHT. But, I DID lose 1″ at my waist and 1″ at my hips! Holla! I think it would have been more if I hadn’t told myself that working out meant I could eat what I wanted when I wanted. Oops.
So, lesson learned. I’m going to push to eat only things that are healthy and smart. If I mess up, I won’t berate myself; I’ll just pick up where I left off and keep moving.
